Artist Talk at UICA: Mira and Narine

The Economist Series features a series of collaborative works that represent an ongoing dialogue between the two artists. Each piece in the series is an extrapolation of weeks in time, all content derived from their verbal and material discussions of the world’s narratives represented in the weekly issues of The Economist magazine. Their work will be exhibited at UICA: December 11–January 22.

Mira Burack and Narine Kchikian have been working collaboratively for over three years in addition to their own individual practices. Mira Burack received a BA from Pepperdine University and a MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Narine Kchikian received a BFA from the College for Creative Studies and a MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art.

The Rapidian, a program of the 501(c)3 nonprofit Community Media Center, relies on the community’s support to help cover the cost of training reporters and publishing content.
