This dispatch was added by one of our Nonprofit Neighbors. It does not represent the editorial voice of The Rapidian or Community Media Center.

Karen Weaver says she loves being a part of the first year of things- and that's why she wanted to be a part of DisArt in its inaugural year. She's loved seeing the "grace in people's eyeballs" as new friendships and bonds are formed between volunteers.

We build community when we share our stories - whether they be a memory, an experience or just simply telling what we think is great about this place. STORY MATTERS. is a story collecting project from The Rapidian and GRTV. This story was captured at the Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD)'s Woodbridge Ferris Building for a DisArt Festival event.
