Never Again: The UN’s Role in Genocide Prevention with Dr. Brett O'Bannon, Conflict Studies Program, DePauw University

Monday, February 22, 2016

Though 70% of Americans believe the U.S. should prevent mass atrocities worldwide, according to a recent study by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, how do we do this? Dr. O’ Bannon discusses the “Responsibility to Protect,” a philosophy aimed at early prevention of mass atrocities. While we may look to the United Nations as being one of the key players in genocide prevention, can it, or even should it, play such a large role?
