Eastown businesses to participate in Halloween walk

Take the kids trick-or-treating in Eastown where local participating businesses will be handing out candy.

On Friday, October 31 from 5-7 p.m. Eastown businesses will be open for trick-or-treaters. Organized by the Eastown Community Association, local businesses will keep their doors open a little later to celebrate the holiday. Young children are encouraged to be accompanied by parents. 

Participating businesses include: 

And for the adults, Smitty's Specialty Beverage will be having a costume contest on Friday, October 31 from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Come dressed up, get your picture taken and it will be shared on Smitty's facebook page. Voters can pick their favorite costume. Voting closes Monday and 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced Tuesday. 

The first place winner will take home a $200 Smitty's gift card. Second place winner receives a PBR Hammock and third place gets a Smitty's T-shirt. Must be 21 or over to participate.
