Second annual Black Market event to include awards presentation

The Black Market event provides a chance for patrons to purchase goods from area Black businesses out of a pop up shop hosted at LINC. The event is scheduled to include the inaugural Black Business awards ceremony at the Harris Building downtown.

The second annual Black Market, presented by Grand Rapids Area Black Businesses (GRABB) will take place on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22. 

On Friday, networking, shopping, a strolling dinner and the inaugural Black Market GRAAB Awards will take place at the Harris Building in Downtown Grand Rapids from 5:30-8 p.m. Cost is $25 per ticket. 

On Saturday, the Black Market Pop-up shop featuring holiday shopping, kids activities, free pictures with Santa and soulful holiday music will take place at LINC Community Revitalization in the Madison Square neighborhood from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The GRAAB Awards Reception is designed to honor the city's entrepreneurs, businesses, organizations and community leaders.
