Story Matters: Morgan Madden looks for meaning in art

This dispatch was added by one of our Nonprofit Neighbors. It does not represent the editorial voice of The Rapidian or Community Media Center.

Young Morgan Madden is starting to develop how she looks at art. Last year, she says, she was just looking at sculptures. But this year, she's looking for a lot more.

We build community when we share our stories - whether they be a memory, an experience or just simply telling what we think is great about this place. While at various ArtPrize venues throughout the event, The Rapidian's Story Matters project asked several local citizens to share their stories. STORY MATTERS. is a story collecting project from The Rapidian and GRTV.

Last year Morgan Madden was just looking at sculptures. But now, she says, she looks for meaning, compares what she thinks to what others are saying and utilizes artist's statements- all to help her to decide which artwork she appreciates.
