Poet Mark Doty to Judge 47th Annual Dyer-Ives Kent County Poetry Competition

 

Winning poems earn $900 in cash prizes, publication in the Foundation’s annual publication, VOICES, and an invitation to read at the Awards reading held during Festival in June 2015. Funded by the Dyer-Ives Foundation, this poetry contest’s mission is to "encourage excellence in writing and provide recognition for local work of high quality."  Kent county residents 5 and up may submit up to three poems during the month of February 2015. Area college students, including GVSU, as well as Kent County students studying elsewhere are eligible to enter. Contest guidelines and eligibility: www.dyer-ives.org
