INTERVIEW

A new, and free, music festival featuring artists with Michigan ties is coming to downtown Grand Rapids. The first ever GRandJazzFest is set for Saturday, Aug. 18, in Rosa Parks Circle, from noon until 10 p.m.

Chair and Founder of GRandJazzFest Audrey Sundstrom joined us in the studio to tell of the creation of this music event, and note some of the performers on the slate.

For this episode, we alter the format slightly to allow for sampling of some of the local musicians that will be taking part in the Aug. 18 festival.

MUSIC

This edition of Catalyst Radio features Grand Rapids musicians that will take part in the Aug. 18 GRandJazzFest, including Grupo Aye with the song Juajiro del Corazon, Steve Hilger with Blue Bossa and Edye Evans Hyde performing Summertime.
