Midtown Neighborhood Association and the City of Grand Rapids are partnering to host a free dumpster clean-up event for Midtown residents this Saturday at Congress Elementary School (940 Baldwin SE). From 9 a.m. till noon (or whenever the dumpsters are full if that happens first), residents can stop by.

There are some limitations. Please refrain from bringing cardboard; city residents can request that the City of Grand Rapids deliver a free recycle bin to their homes for bi-monthly curbside pick-up. Arrangements should be made to donate reuseable objects and materials to Goodwill or the Salvation Army prior to the clean up.

Do not bring:

  • Household hazardous waste
  • Tires
  • Paint
  • Solvents
  • Yard waste
  • Commercial waste haulers
  • Metal scrapping
