Fathers and families invited to screening of "Courageous" at Wealthy Theatre

I Believe I Become, a neighborhood initiative designed to help children succeed in school, work and life, will host a free screening of the movie “Courageous.”

When: May 25, 2012 | 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Where: Wealthy Theatre, 1130 Wealthy SE

Become a role model for your child, join us for a free movie screening of “Courageous” this Friday, May 25th. “Courageous” offers a deeper look at the role of a father with laughter, joy and heartfelt wisdom. This blockbuster moves us to think about the importance of male involvement in our communities, and those who leave the theater do so with hope and a promise for the future.

This encore screening of Courageous will be shown at the Wealthy Theatre at starting at 6 p.m., and is free and open to families in the Central Zone neighborhood. The event is sponsored by the I Believe I Become Male Involvement Action Team in partnership with LINC Community Revitalization, Inc.

Be a role model by bringing your child, and become an inspiration to us all.

I Believe I Become is a collaborative partnership of hundreds of organizations and individuals who believe in the unlimited potential of Grand Rapids students, and expect them to succeed. By creating real opportunities for students to become the people they aspire to be, Believe 2 Become aims to close the achievement gap in Grand Rapids by 2020.

I Believe I Become, a neighborhood initiative designed to help children succeed in school, work and life, is a collaborative effort of Grand Rapids Public Schools, Grand Rapids Student Advancement Foundation, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and Douglas & Maria DeVos Foundation.
