ISIS: What Don’t We Know? with Patrick Skinner, CIA case officer (former), The Soufan Group, New York

Monday, March 21, 2016

6:00PM - 7:15PM

Aquinas College Performing Arts Center

1607 Robinson Rd. SE
Grand Rapids MI 49506

Patrick Skinner is a consultant from the Soufan Group (Ali Soufan was the FBI Special Agent investigating international terrorism cases after 9/11). He brings a fresh perspective to address the dangers ISIS poses to U.S. interests. Born out of an umbrella organization of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) burst onto the international stage in December 2013. Since then, the group has seized control of a number of critical strongholds and declared itself a caliphate. And he will discuss the group’s newest type of terrorism, which he calls “the new terror spectacular.”

Public invited. No reservations needed. Pay at door. $10 members/$15 non-members. Non-members can sign up for a free e-mail membership and get member pricing. Free parking. Presented by the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan. worldmichigan.org
