Literacy Center of West Michigan (LCWM) Executive Director, Susan Ledy announced that Tatum Rucker would be joining the non-profit organization as a public relations specialist. This position was added to bring awareness to the Literacy Center’s programs and promote the organization’s mission to the Grand Rapids community.
 
“We are excited to have Tatum join our team. I am confident that she will make a substantial impact on the Literacy Center and how we service our community,” commented Ledy.
 
Rucker holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media communications from Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, OH and a master’s degree in public relations from Ball State University in Muncie, IN.  Her previous professional experience includes being a legislative aide for the Ohio House of Representatives and a public relations assistant for a dental management company in the metro Detroit area.

The Rapidian, a program of the 501(c)3 nonprofit Community Media Center, relies on the community’s support to help cover the cost of training reporters and publishing content.
