Showers or flowers, you never know with Michigan weather. The Division Avenue Arts Collective hopscotched past April and is kicking off May with Sunday Soup #13. Sunday Soup is a mini-granting program organized by The DAAC (115 S. Division). Attendees pitch in $5 for a bowl of soup and a vote, and contenders present on their projects as attendees sup. The proposal with the most votes gets the whole pot of money.

The event starts at 6 p.m. this Sunday, and live coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. Four contenders will be duking it out, ladle style.

Disclosure: Jaime Johnson, a recipient of Sunday Soup #10 and co-organizer of the series, is providing photographs throughout the live coverage.
