Our appreciation for art is growing, but let's admit it: we love a good dive into kitsch now and again! 

Since this fall our Picturesque challenge is all about creativity, we figured it was only fitting that we gave you some options:

1)Snap a picture of what you think is artistic all around you in Grand Rapids this month, 

or!

2)Modify a picture you have taken, and make it into a work of art on its own.

You can go for high-brow, or you can have fun with kitschy effects. (For inspiration, check out Picnik, or try out one of the many photo apps for that smartphone in your pocket.)
