WYCE’s Annual CD & Record Sale takes place Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Eastown Streetfair. Listeners have been generously donating their vinyl, 78s, 8 tracks, CDs, and cassettes throughout the summer and each one will be on sale for $1 each. On-Air Programming Volunteers and WYCE staff will be at the booth to provide advice for those looking to expand their music collection with some rare gems. We have fantastic volunteer support for this event each year and the station couldn’t pull this off without each one of them.

We are also excited to announce that Hayes Griffin, our new Station Manager, will be hanging out at the booth all day. This will be a great opportunity for the community to come meet Hayes and tell him why WYCE is important in your lives. Hayes is two weeks into the job now and eager to hear what it is that makes you, our listener-supporters, keep tuning into A World of Music!

Also, as many of you know, WYCE is entirely listener-funded, meaning we receive no money from federal, state, or local taxes or any other government agency. This record sale will provide a great opportunity for us to reconnect with you, our valued community members, face-to-face and offer a fun service that helps us meet our daily expenses. Every single penny of the funds we raise will go directly back to your community radio station in West Michigan 88.1FM WYCE, helping us make crucial equipment upgrades and pay basic things like the electric bill. We could not do anything at this station without your wonderful support, so we really hope to see you down at the Streetfair.

If you are interested in volunteering and joining our Outreach Team, please email Cassie Betten, our Station Operations and Programming Manager, at [email protected]. Please include your days of availability and you’ll be the first to know about events where you can represent the station as a volunteer power!
