Chef Roman Petrack was born in New Zealand, grew up in the Netherlands and has worked in several countries across the world. His experience in restaurants and as a personal chef within these cultures gives him a dynamic perspective on food and communities.

Upon arriving in Grand Rapids four years ago, Petrack and his wife saw the city as "diamond in the rough." In his time here, Petrack notes the enthusiasm of the city's collaborative neighborhoods in celebrating the growth of local businesses.

In the above discussion with Chef Roman, he applauds the community involvement within Grand Rapids and lends insight into his personal background working in the food industry.
