Finding more than a place to sleep

As we experience so often, the blessings Katheryn gives outnumber those she receives. She says, it is with joy and gratitude that I am able to serve the Lord and His people, and Katheryn's joy is contagious.

Underwriting support from:

Katheryn is a woman of deep faith who came to Dégagé for more than a place to sleep. She came wanting to deepen her faith, grow in her ability to trust, and be encouraged in her journey. After her first night in our Open Door Women's Center, Katheryn knew she had found what she wanted in Dégagé because she saw the staff "walk the walk."

As we experience so often, the blessings Katheryn gives outnumber those she receives. She says, "It is with joy and gratitude that I am able to serve the Lord and His people," and Katheryn's joy is contagious.

Through her trust in the Lord's faithfulness and in the power of prayer, the Lord is using Katheryn to encourage others around her, both staff and patrons. She started a women's prayer group that meets weekly and is always ready to pray over a meal in the Dining Room. When Katheryn says she is praying for you, you can trust that she is. We are so grateful that Dégagé has been a place for Katheryn to grow and be encouraged in her faith.
