Diners take advantage of sweet, savory deals as Restaurant Week continues

Restaurant Week continues in Grand Rapids through August 24. Over 60 area restaurants are participating in this year's event including neighborhood favorites like GroveRed Jet CafeTerra GR and The Mitten Brewing Company. Popular downtown locations include San ChezHopcatOsteria Rossa and Bistro Vella Vita. Click here for a complete list of participants. 

Many participating restaurants have created three-course menus, allowing a customer to choose from various items for $28. Many others have created menus for two people, also three courses at $28.  

A cocktail contest will feature two categories: best Woodford bourbon summer cocktail and the best Woodford old fashioned. A list of restaurants and cocktails offered can be found here. Vote here for your favorite. 

Grand Rapids' burgeoning culinary scene offers a variety of world class cuisine to choose from. Restaurant Week highlights the area's talented chefs and celebrates Michigan agriculture by focusing on seasonal varieties of fresh produce and meats, ciders, beers and wines.
