The most literate of all the New Testament writers, Luke orders his account of Jesus’ life and mission around some of our best loved stores – The Good Samaritan, the Prodigal Son and the encounter with the men on the road to Emmaus. Luke’s gospel gives a special place to the poor and to women’s participation in the Good News.
