Wilfert never intended to stay in Grand Rapids, but he's discovered things about the film and theatre community- and the city as a whole- that "make it very difficult to leave."

We build community when we share our stories - whether they be a memory, an experience or just simply telling what we think is great about this place. While at various ArtPrize venues throughout the event, The Rapidian's Story Matters project asked several local citizens to share their stories. STORY MATTERS. is a story collecting project from The Rapidian and GRTV.

Dustin Wilfert works with the film and stage communities in Grand Rapids, after studying broadcasting at Grand Valley State University. He intended to only stay for two years, but has now been here for seven years. In this video Wilfert talks about the reasons he stays in Grand Rapids.
