We build community when we share our stories - whether they be a memory, an experience or just simply telling what we think is great about this place. STORY MATTERS. is a story collecting project from The Rapidian and GRTV.

The Rapidian's story fort made an appearance at the "Break it Down, Make it Better" event, put on by the Avenue for the Arts and hosted by the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art on Saturday, March 1. Marlee Grace Hanson, improvisational artist and shop keeper, talks about the growth and support she sees in Grand Rapids- and how she wants to be a part of making that possible. She talks about her upcoming artist residencies at Have Company, why she sees friends moving here from other cities, and the value she sees in being part of what she calls the "churning-" the rapidly-building growth in Grand Rapids.
