Pitch:
Kent District Library is one of the sponsors of the second annual Write Michigan short story contest. It is in the public vote stage right now: www.writemichigan.org. The winners will be announced in early February some time.
This is a great way to celebrate writing, much like GR has celebrated art and culture in many other ways more in recent years. Almost 900 people, of all ages, entered the contest.
