The artist for November is Paula Clark. Here is a little about Paula in her own words:
‘I have been doing art for the past three years. A desire of the heart caused me to become interested in making art.
I've been volunteering at Heartside Gallery for just less than a year. I also volunteer at The Pavilion and Bridge Street House of Prayer.
As a kid, I don't remember art at all except that I couldn't draw. Now I understand abstract art that comes from my imagination.
My favorite part about painting is laying down the color.
I am a Christian, a painter, an artist. I love the Lord first. I love art, second.’
The Artists of Heartside Gallery and Studio is a monthly feature to highlight some of the wonderful people of the Heartside neighborhood. Visit www.heartside.org , Facebook and our Flickr page to keep up with us, to learn about volunteering and other ways to get involved.
