On Monday, Dec. 4, City Commissioner Milinda Ysasi and Kristin Turkelson, the planning director with the City's Planning Department, will be in the GRTV studio for the December edition of City Connection.
The Rapidian's program manager, Allison Donahue, will be hosting the show. Commissioner Ysasi will be standing in for Mayor Bliss.
Possible discussion topics include:
- Changing leadership at Mobile GR
- The opening of the Rosa Parks Circle ice rink
- The City's score on the MEI Human Rights report card
- Water rate study and possible rate increases
- Early voting
- Community Master Plan
Members of the community can submit their questions to Commissioner Ysasi and Kristin Turkelson by emailing [email protected]. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 4.
For over 30 years, the mayors of Grand Rapids have hosted City Connection, a monthly, live call-in show on GRTV’s Livewire, Comcast channel 24. Mayor John Logie started the program in 1992 as a way to share mayoral perspective with Grand Rapidians and to bring a little more transparency to local government. City Connection is an opportunity to interact directly with one of our city’s top elected officials.
