Color celebrated in this fall's Picturesque gallery

In this fall's Picturesque gallery, we focus on one basic and brilliant element in our photographs: color!

Our city comes alive with color this time of year.

Between the veritable onslaught of art at ArtPrize and the changing of the seasons signified by leaves becoming brilliant yellows, reds, oranges and purples, we've got a lot of color around us.

So we thought, why not focus on that very thing in our fall Picturesque gallery?

The gallery is open to submissions by anyone who has a user account on The Rapidian. Color! will run from October 4 through November 4, with submissions accepted throughout that period.

Photos can be added by clicking "Add your own" and uploading an image -one the user has taken- in a simple online submission process.

Everyone is encouraged to vote for their favorites: visitors can "vote up," tweet, Facebook like or comment for the photo(s) they think should be the winner. At the end of the submission and voting period, a winner will be announced, based solely on the votes from the public.

The winning photograph will earn its owner a Rapidian swag bag chock full of goodies and announced at a special event November 5 (details forthcoming), so add your own photos, get out the vote, and let's celebrate color this fall.
