Movies in the Park, a Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. initiative, is back for its second season with a decades theme in its lineup. This year's movie series kicks off on June 6 at Ah-Nab-Awen Park featuring Raiders of the Lost Ark. The movie starts at dusk.

Pre-movie activities begin at 7 p.m. and vendors will be on site including GoNuts, What the Truck, Daddy Pete’s BBQ, Woking Taco, Vito’s Pizza, Dorothy & Tony’s Gourmet Kettle Corn, Ferris Coffee and Spoonlickers. Grand Rapids Public Library will provide activities. Local musician and one time star of the Movies in the Park teaser film, Adrian "AB" Butler will be on site to sign autographs and announce the winner of the teaser contest. The winner will get a home projector system. Free event posters will be available to the public.

Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and beverages.

Presenting partners for the event are Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. and Friends of Grand Rapids Parks. Celebration Cinema is sponsoring the series and GMB A+E is the title sponsor.
