Individuals and families in need are reminded that they can still sign up to receive Christmas assistance from The Salvation Army of Kent County.

The online application deadline to apply has been extended until Dec. 9 and can be completed by visiting salarmy.us/ChristmasHelp. If you are unable to visit the website or have any questions or concerns, you may contact The Salvation Army of Kent County directly at (616) 459-9468 to register. Individuals and families that do not apply by the deadline are still welcome to sign up for assistance, but they will need to do so by calling the number above.

Christmas assistance is one of the many services The Salvation Army provides and, in Kent County, includes families receiving new unwrapped toys that were collected from the Angel Tree Toy Drive and grocery store gift cards.

Christmas assistance is offered at every Salvation Army location in West Michigan, however, each location’s services vary to match the precise needs in that specific community. Those who live in a surrounding county will need to contact their local Salvation Army for more information.
