The Spoke Folks is hosting a FREE Open House this Saturday, April 13, from noon to 4 p.m.

We hope to attract people who have never been to the shop before or who are maybe a little intimidated to stop by on a regular work day. If you have never been down to the shop, this is the perfect oppurtunity to learn how to use our space as a community resource.

What will be going on that day?

1) Tours of the space and workbenches

2) Explaining our goals and vision and how we run things

3) A great time for people to purchase a membership for the following year

4) Notices about upcoming educational events and a way for individuals to sign up or show their interest

5) Information available on the different ways people can get involved, for example: donations, volunteering, networking, etc.

6)Community Meeting from 4-5 p.m.

7) There will be homemade tamales available to snack on

Everyone is welcome. Bring the whole family- kids are welcome. This will be a time for everyone's voice to be heard as we hear the needs of our very local cycling community. We will be discussing our goals and priorities for the upcoming year and taking feedback/comments/questions/recommendations from those in attendance.

The Rapidian, a program of the 501(c)3 nonprofit Community Media Center, relies on the community’s support to help cover the cost of training reporters and publishing content.

We need your help.

If each of our readers and content creators who values this community platform help support its creation and maintenance, The Rapidian can continue to educate and facilitate a conversation around issues for years to come.
