Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) is thrilled to bring its annual Holiday Artists Market back to downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10am-4pm.

After a two-year pandemic hiatus, UICA will host the 32nd Annual Holiday Artists Market inside its new location at 17 Pearl St. NW (Woodbridge N. Ferris Building) on the campus of Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD).

UICA has proudly hosted the fine crafts and handmade goods market since 1988, giving countless West Michigan artists, designers, and makers a powerful platform to showcase and sell their creative work to the local community during the holiday shopping season.

“We’re beyond thrilled to bring back this celebration of the creative talent in our region to downtown Grand Rapids,” said UICA Retail Coordinator Mikayla Portee. “Paired with KCAD's widespread support for the creative community, this new location is a natural fit for the market.”

The highly anticipated 2022 market will host a total of 39 vendors with one-of-a-kind art and hand-crafted gifts, including jewelry, home goods, art prints, holiday cards, accessories, toys, and more. More than 10 KCAD alumni will return to campus to sell their work at the holiday market.

Local food and beverage vendors Rise Authentic Baking Co., Lantern Coffee Bar, and Her Daily Bread will also be on-site with refreshments while families, couples, and friends shop the market. Admission is free at this one-day event.

Participating artists and makers include AB Paper Goods, Art Goodies, The Artifact House, Rachel Britton Photography, Dianne Carroll Photography, The Color Forest, Custom Pen and Pencils, Dagger Face, Gracewood Candles, Hattie Darling, Hides and Stitches, K Studio, KNOWN Goods, KOKI, Lief Design, Lindsey Claire Newman, Lisa Pavia, Loops and Tassels, Lydia Writes Good, Mabie Art Studio, Shannon Mack, MW&B, New Song Quilting, Olivia That Draws, Paige Soy Candles, Paisclay co., Parallax Book Press, Michael Pfleghaar, Public Thread, Red Hydrant Press, Roar Modern, Runaway Press, Seams Smart, The Soil Studio, Sonder Articles, Third and Co Studio, Transfigure Print Co., Well Explored Co., and Brent and Brian Westrick.
