Join Dr. T.G. Wilfong, Professor of Egyptology at the University of Michigan for a fascinating evening. Explore the different jackel gods (Anubis, Wepwawet and Duamutef), how they are represented in Tut's tomb and what roles they played in preparation for a king's death and afterlife (in some ways different from what they did for non-kings). Also discover how images of jackal gods from Tutankhamun's tomb affect modern pop culture images of Egyptian jackal gods. The first 100 Grand Rapids Public Library cardholders are free through the library's Check It Out: Circulating Membership program.
