LINC to host Rock the Block Street party in Madison Square

The fourth annual Rock the Block street party will feature local artists, food vendors, musicians, children's activities and a BBQ cook off competition.

On Saturday, June 14 LINC Community Revitalization will host its fourth annual Rock the Block street festival. The party opens at 11 a.m. and goes until 6 p.m. There will be food booths, live entertainment, a street market and a BBQ cook off competition. 

This year's event will feature music by American Idol Maurice Townsend and the first annual BBQ challenge that will pay $1,500 to the winner. For more information on how to enter the competition click here.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. live entertainment such as vocalists, spoken word, dance teams and bands will take to the stage before Maurice Townsend closes out the party beginning at 5 p.m. 

Food booths this year include:

​Over 70 vendors will participate in this year's street market and resource fair.

Bounce houses, The Balloon Guy, face painting and photo booths will be available for children. 

The event is free, family friendly and open to the public. 

LINC Community Revitalization is located at 1167 Madison Avenue SE. at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Hall Street. LINC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community through real estate development and by participating in collaborative projects and partnerships in the Grand Rapids area.
