Word on the Street is a semi-regular weekend update. It is published on Facebook, through the email and it makes its permanent home on G-RAD. You can post feedback in either place or, of course, send me an email at… [email protected] . Events are selected because I like them, or i like the organzation hosting the event, or it was recommended to me, or because I don't think they get enough props in other media and the criteria is...I would consider going myself. Also... events have a tendancy to be downtown-centric because i Love and Live Downtown....

So here you go Rapidain Readers.... your first dose of WORD ON THE STREET

Sunday is the start of hunting season. I know because Mr. Man spends most of October and November hunting saying “there aren’t that many more times left for me to get out and hunt….” When what he really means is….. “There is 6 weekends left for me to get out and BOW HUNT which will be directly followed by 3 months (a whole season) of gun hunting, more bow hunting, black powder hunting, small game hunting and rabbit hunting as well….”  To quelch the sadness of being left by my sweet heart I am planning on packing in as much entertainment as I can to the next few months! Here are some of the things I am considering for this weekend….

  • I am also thinking of hitting up the GRAM on Sunday to see the Tissot exhibit. I just renewed my membership and am looking forward to a jaunt down to check out the show…
  • Then I plan on squelching my sadness by creating radical Christmas presents and doing things like… crocheting 5 hats in one day… or work on creating some of the new bird ornaments I will be selling this holiday season… So mark your calendars to come and meet me at the UICA first weekend in December, or the second weekend at the Avenue for the Arts Urban Lights Event on December 11th 2009!

Thanks for reading all the way down to the very bottom.
