Movement of Sound for M.S.

Underwriting support from:

Billy's in Eastown was the place to be Sunday, November 23rd. There was a Bloody Mary bar, great drink specials, live music all day, a raffle and art on auction all for a fundraiser to benefit multiple sclerosis.

Anna Fisk suffers from MS, but rather than letting it get her down, she gets active, and organizes one great party every year and donates all the proceeds to local MS treatment. This year, she brought in almost $2,000, and it was all from the local community.

There were T-shirts for sale, a raffle with prizes donated from all sorts of local businesses, art donated by friends up for silent auction, 10 bands, drink specials, and all the other makings for a great time while supporting a great cause.

Bands on the Bill: A.B. and Coconut Brown, La Famiglia, Chance Jones, Fainting Generals, Moss Folk, Adam in Exile, Southpaw Players, Chernobyl Babies, Just for Kicks, and Four for Smoking. Music ranged from folk, to rock, to hip-hip, and the crowd was into it all. The dance floor was packed.

Drink specials included a full Bloody Mary bar and $2 Jack Daniel's cocktails.

It happens every year, so if you missed out yesterday, be sure to make it next time!

Anna gives her thanks, is gracious for the support, and pleased with how well it went!

Disclosure: I donated a few photo prints for the silent auction myself, and was both surprised and impressed by how much they brought in. I'll definitely donate again.
